Nayu’s Reading Corner has a great review of Athens and a giveaway. Here’s a little of what she says…
“Awwww! is pretty much my thoughts as I read this book. Isn’t KeeKee adorable? The story is clever, taking the reader through typically Greek places, food and activities, including learning about the rich history of Greece. I can’t stress enough how much fun this book is – I’ll definitely be recommending it to all my friends!”

Love this website…it’s all about traveling cats! Purrfect for us! >^..^<
You must check out the beautiful pictures of kitties in Greece accompanying their review.
“Equally adorable and informative, KeeKee’s Big Adventures in Athens, Greece is a children’s book about a world traveling cat. It’s the perfect book to teach your kid (or yourself) about Greek culture, gods, food, and places of interest in Athens. They’ll even learn how to say thank you, goodbye, enjoy your meal, and meow in Greek.”
They also have more details here on entering to win their giveaway, through Tues, Dec 23.
Wed, Dec 17
Thank you hugsandbooks for the review!
“Shannon Jones offers a treasure trove of information and history to young readers with interesting details and fun facts. Casey Uhelski’s colorful illustrations of KeeKee and several animal friends appeals to the kids and makes it easier for them to remember everything they learn. At the back of the book is a pronunciation guide and glossary with greek words and phrases and their meaning and a description of all the places KeeKee visits in Greece. This book is a wonderful armchair travel resource and the perfect means to introduce the adventure and fun of travel and learning to young kids.
My 11 year old son is a huge fan of the Percy Jackson books, and is deeply interested in Greek mythology. Thanks to KeeKee, my 5 year old daughter has started showing a budding enthusiasm for the Greek Gods and Goddesses, her favorite she claims is Aphrodite, the Goddess of Beauty! Efcharisto KeeKee….we’ll be looking forward to your next travel adventure.”
They’re also doing an Athens book and KeeKee Kit giveaway through Sat, Dec 20 on their Facebook page.
Fri, Dec 19
Hook of a Book is a fun stop with a review and interview with 7-year old Addie and a review from Mom Erin.
Here’s a little of what Addie has to say…
“I thought this book was really cute. The cat was very friendly. The owl was also cute. I like how they rode in a hot air balloon. I also liked how it taught me a lot about another place and culture in a way I could understand. It was fun to learn about Greece! I would recommend this to other kids my age because it teaches a lot and is really cute at the same time. I told my mom I want to read more books in this series.”
