Did You Know?! The first human air flight took place in a Hot Air Balloon in Paris in 1783.

The characters are based on the Phrygian cap. The hat has long been a symbol of freedom, the French Republic, & revolution in France.

🏅There are two Phyrge, one Olympic and one Paralympic who proudly wears her running prosthetic.

🏅The hexagon in the middle of the medal is inspired by the original Eiffel Tower iron formed in a hexagon & it’s the geometrical shape of France herself.
🏅The design is by LVMH Parisian jeweler Chaumet.
🏅The back side of the medal, which is identical for all Games, has Nike, the Greek goddess of victory.
