Part of the fun of going on vacation is counting down the days until your adventure! Once you book the holiday, the excitement starts building for the whole family. Two weeks to go, one week, two more days!

Research shows that simply anticipating a trip can boost happiness, and counting down the days to the vacation builds even more excitement.

That’s why we recommend a Countdown Calendar!

You can use all sorts of tools, from phone and tablet apps to digital countdown timers that can sit on a nightstand or kitchen counter. You can also do something non-digital, like a paper calendar, chalkboard, or whiteboard.

The Paper Chain Countdown Calendar is our favorite way to countdown with the kids. Stringing together paper loops with numbers on them, tearing off one per day, making the chain shorter as the departure date gets closer!
