KeeKee Plush Cleaning Instructions
Here are some care instructions in case KeeKee gets dirty while on adventures.
Please remove the messenger bag before laundering the plush.
Spot Cleaning
For minor stains or dirt, spot clean using a mild detergent and a soft cloth or sponge. Let air dry.
Deeper Cleaning
Most plush toys can be machine washed, but note
Machine Washing
- Place the KeeKee plush in a mesh laundry bag or pillow case.
- Use gentle cycle with cold water to avoid any potential damage.
- Use a mild detergent.
Hand Washing
- Fill a basin or sink with cold water and add a small amount of mild detergent.
- Submerge the plush toy and gently agitate the water.
- Use a cloth or soft brush to scrub any soiled areas.
- Rinse thoroughly with cold water to remove all detergent. (Leftover detergent can could cause skin irritation or attract more dirt).
Drying & Fluffing
Avoid Direct Heat: When wet, do not place the toy near direct heat sources like radiators, as these can damage the toy or cause shrinkage.
- Tumble Dry: Keeping the stuffed animal in the mesh bag or pillowcase, tumble dry on low. Do not tumble dry using heat as this can damage the plush toy.
- Air Dry: Gently squeeze out excess water (do not wring) and lay the toy flat on a clean towel to air dry. Reshape the toy while damp to maintain its form.
- Fluffing: Once dry, since your KeeKee plush is so fluffy – especially her tail – you will probably need to brush or fluff the toy to restore her original texture.
